Biography
Bolot Ibragimov serves as the Deputy Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic, bringing a unique and dynamic perspective to governance that bridges grassroots civic activism and national policymaking. Born and raised in Bishkek, Mr. Ibragimov first rose to national prominence as a pioneering civic activist, anti-corruption blogger, and the founder of the Safari movement. Through innovative public oversight projects, digital media, and direct community engagement, he spent years championing public accountability, institutional transparency, and road safety. His impactful grassroots work led to his appointment as an advisor to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2023. Transitioning into formal politics, he served as the Vice Speaker of the Bishkek City Council before his election to the national parliament representing the Oktyabrsky district. In February 2026, his parliamentary colleagues elected him Deputy Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh.
